Natural Beauty Care Terms and Conditions
Brexit and exporting to Europe
Brexit commenced on 1 January 2021. Advice from our preferred postal supplier, the Royal Mail is as follows:
- Items valued at under €22 will remain part of the Low Value Consignment Relief (LVCR) Scheme for items sent to the EU and are not subject to VAT or duties until 1 July 2021 (subject to further extension date to be set by the EU).
- Commercial items/goods (excluding personal correspondence) sent to the EU over €22 and below €150 may be taxed at the border and may incur a customs clearance/handling fee in the receiving country.
- Commercial items/goods sent to the EU over €150 may attract VAT, customs duties, and a clearance/handling fee.
- The customs authorities in the destination country and the customs thresholds in place determine if charges are due on imported goods.
In other words – when we despatch to the EU we will fill out a customs declaration form. As the customer / shopper, you may also have to pay customs or VAT charges, depending on the value of the product and where it came from (its origin). Customs charges are the responsibility of the customer, not the retailer, as the eventual extra cost is unknown and will differ from country to country. As a result, these potential, and variable costs cannot be paid in advance and are levied only when the item reaches the end European country.
Making a purchase is easy; just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order through Stripe or PayPal.
Paying by BACS (Bank transfer).
We used to allow payment by BACS but as we offer secure payment via Stripe and PayPal, please place your order and pay online.
Paying by cheque.
We no longer accept cheques.
Being a little eco-minded, and to support the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle campaign we may send out your order in reused packaging e.g. cardboard boxes that had a previous life. Your order will still be safe and secure inside, but may not be pretty on the outside. We don’t believe in spending money on packaging that you will have to recycle when its job is simply to get the product to you intact.
All items delivered through Royal Mail. Postage costs for all orders are based on weight and destination. Given the nature of the goods, Standard Parcel delivery is the usual option for postage as the items are too bulky to fit through the letterbox. Unfortunately, this also applies to one of our best sellers ‘Bitter Crystals’ which is tiny. Customers are advised to order 2 or more items if items are being regularly used for cost efficiency in their postage.
You may be required to pay import duties and taxes in certain countries for which we are not responsible. We recommend that, before ordering, you obtain details of these charges from Customs & Excise in the country the goods are being dispatched to.
We usually dispatch orders within 3 working days of purchase. Standard Parcels take between 3-5 working days. Royal Mail aims to deliver goods to Europe within 3 days and to the rest of the world within 5 days. The Middle East and Asia deliveries can take up to 10 working days. We cannot assume a parcel is missing if the post is delayed, until a reasonable period of time has passed.
Out of stock items
While we strive to keep all our items well-stocked, there may be occasions where we get caught short. If this happens on your order, we will contact you by e-mail to inform you of the situation and offer the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, or indeed, wait if you don’t mind.
In the unfortunate circumstance that you receive an incorrect item from us or a product that has been damaged or lost in transit, please contact us in writing (preferably by e-mail) within seven days of receiving the goods and provide a photograph of the damaged item. We will refund or replace it. Please retain proof of postage in case of the parcel not returning to us. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
Cancellation of order
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, all UK customers have the right to cancel orders placed through a website within seven working days of their receipt of the goods. UK residents wishing to cancel an order under these Regulations should first e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and then once a reply has been received the goods should be returned to Returns, Natural Beauty Care, 33 Balkerach Street, Doune, FK16 6DE in their original packing and in their original condition. This does not apply for European or other world zones outside of the UK.
Natural Beauty Care will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to goods returned until they are returned. We recommend that returns are sent by Recorded Delivery or some other means of tracked delivery system. Once we receive the goods in a saleable condition, a refund will be made via the payment method you used.
Natural Beauty Care knows that you care how information about you is used and shared and we appreciate your trust in us to do that carefully and sensibly. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and your information will not be sold, passed on to or shared with any other source unless required by law. We abide by the Data Protection Act 1998. We collect the e-mail address of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.
The information we collect is used for internal review, used to improve the content of our Web page, used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for individual consumer, and used by us to contact consumers for marketing purposes. You may request details of the information that we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you do not want to receive e-mails from us in the future or if you think that information we hold about you is incorrect, please let us know by sending an e-mail or writing, and we will update your details immediately.
